Human physiology adaptation to altered gravity environments

چکیده
Multiple transitions between gravity levels will occur during planetary exploration missions. In reaction to these gravitational transitions, physiological adaptation be initiated. However, the effects of long-duration exposures hypogravity and hypergravity are poorly understood. this review we present an overview how humans perceive gravity, sex-based differences in changes introduces rather limited evidence currently available related partial gravity. The paper then argues that there is a need for more research better understand extent dynamics mechanisms level spaceflight proposes artificial (AG) as multi-system countermeasure explore efficacy AG short very long-arm centrifuges. Discussed here acute short-arm application. topical also discusses usage chronic application via innovative large-radius Hypergravity Human Habitat, H3, concept.

Human adaptation to arsenic-rich environments.
Adaptation drives genomic changes; however, evidence of specific adaptations in humans remains limited. We found that inhabitants of the northern Argentinean Andes, an arid region where elevated arsenic concentrations in available drinking water is common, have unique arsenic metabolism, with efficient methylation and excretion of the major metabolite dimethylated arsenic and a less excretion o...
متن کاملCell proliferation and plant development under novel altered gravity environments.
Gravity is a key factor for life on Earth. It is the only environmental factor that has remained constant throughout evolution, and plants use it to modulate important physiological activities; gravity removal or alteration produces substantial changes in essential functions. For root gravitropism, gravity is sensed in specialised cells, which are capable of detecting magnitudes of the g vector...
